Wooden American beaver

$35.00

A medium-sized wooden beaver companion created for Secrets of the Photocopier (a recent exhibition at platform, Melbourne).

This little American beaver from the family castoridae seeks a new home now that the exhibition has drawn to a close. He is a one of a kind piece, completely made by hand. Cut and shaped with the aid of a jigsaw and a piece of sandpaper, from MDF. Painted in white, front, sides and back, he is freestanding. His coat and face markings have been drawn on by hand with a beloved black felt tip pen.

Suitable for your shelf, to guard your books or mind your nightstand, this lodge-building beaver will be happy anywhere.

All animals come well wrapped to ensure they arrive safe and sound.

American beaver proportions:
10 cm (H) X 18 cm (W) X 1.2 cm (D)

American beaver particulars:
Usually found living in colonies of four to eight related individuals, they are fond of grooming each other, nose touching, wrestling and dancing. The American beaver can cut down trees, using its strong incisors to gnaw through trunks and thick branches.

Catch a glimpse of him in his original habitat here.
